NEWSFLASH: ARYEH STEINER HATES ANOTHER ALBUM!

Many of you will find this completely shocking. Please grab hold of something and be prepared for this amazing news. Aryeh Steiner has reviewed another album - and hated it! I have to wonder why this man writes a Jewish music blog at all? For someone who hates 98 percent of what he listens to, I'd think he just doesn't like Jewish music. If that's the case then why bother reviewing it.

For your entertainment purposes I will now publish the template that Mr. Steiner uses to review albums.

I just came from my friends house and borrowed the new (INSERT ALBUM TITLE HERE) this is their/his (INSERT ALBUM NUMBER) attempt at putting out a decent album. (INSERT CD PRODUCER) has really been phoning it in lately. He really sucks.

It won't be any surprise to you that I think (INSERT ALBUM ARTIST/GROUP HERE) have failed miserably once again. The choir sounds like (CHOSE BETWEEN SUCKS, STINKS & BLOWS) and the guitar is the (INSERT REPETITIVE SYNONYM HERE) Avi Singolda. Sadly Avi is off pace with the (INSERT SECOND RATE DRUMMER/AND/OR PIANIST HERE) and the Brass and Horns are (INSERT DISAPPOINTING TERM HERE.)

(INSERT ALBUM NAME HERE) is a pathetic joke of an album that doesn't even come close to sounding like good music. I'm glad I didn't waste my money on this garbage.

The songs are so bad that my CD player actually spit it out. (INSERT OVERUSED COMPOSERS NAME HERE) hasn't composed a good song in 20 years, it's wonder anyone uses him anymore.

This album is perfect for a deaf blind man and people who are number then stones and won't know the difference anyway. Whatever happened to (INSERT NAME OF ALBUM SAMEACH SENT ME FOR FREE), now THAT was good music. (PAUSE FOR DRAMATIC EFFECT AND HOPE MORE PEOPLE WILL SEND ME THEIR CD'S FOR FREE)

Steiner, why don't you change the name of your blog to the "(ALL) JEWISH MUSIC (SUCKS) REVIEW BLOG" you are embarrassing yourself and anyone who was dumb enough to send you music to review in the first place. When are you going to shut down your blog, or at least start writing real reviews. No one in their right mind can actually hate Jewish music as much as you do and still enjoy actually writing reviews.

It's not like people actually read your blog or respect your opinion anyway. So why do you do it? Does it make you feel good about yourself that at the end of the day you trashed another album?

Whats the problem, did Yitzy Schwartz not ask you to be on his CD? What did people do to you to make you so hurt and angry. If you need some help, let me know, I know a few good Frum shrinks. They can help you deal with your issues.

WE HAVE HIM WORRIED!!!

Aryeh is scared, and he should be. People are finally realizing that he doesn't know what the heck he is talking about. Look at Yitzy Spinner's CD for the most recent example. Before he even heard the album he trashed it. Then he didn't even BUY it, he borrowed it, listened once and proceeded to step on it, rip its heart out and stab it to death. Aryeh, what is wrong with you? What kind of a person are you? This isn't about attacking you, this is about forcing you to realize that what you are doing is wrong! When will you finally give into your shame?! You have the chutzpah not even pay for an album while at the same time attempting to destroy someones parnasa for your own personal issues.

Now if this was truly a bad album then I'd have no leg to stand on, but at least three other usually hyper critical Jewish music bloggers all liked to loved that CD. What does that tell you? When bloggers who are usually very critical love a CD and you not only dislike it, but rip it to shreds, well, it shows one simple thing. You have a personal agenda with certain artists. In fact I think you have a personal agenda against most artists.

I don't want your olive branches, I want you to do the right thing. Stop allowing your personal feelings to bias your reviews. It's one thing to pretend Country Yossi reviews are real, we all know they are BS, but your reviews are the same kind of evil. Whereas one writes because of cash, you review from a place of jealously and resentment.

Aryeh Steiner, do not assume you know who is behind this blog. You will be shocked to find out that we are not one person. The people behind this blog are a rather large group of people. We are a mix of industry people and your fellow bloggers. People who all agree that you have crossed the line and we have to stand up and fight back. There are almost ten people involved in this blog.

You are on notice, your personal attacks via nasty reviews must come to a close. No one has problems with honest or fair reviews, but yours are neither. We already know that our numbers are higher then yours. We can see your stats, we are getting a lot of hits from people googling your name and googling Jewish music reviews.

Your reviews are tainted, biased and full of motzei sheim ra. When you are ready to stop using the internet to seek revenge on an industry you seem to have a lot of venom towards, only then will we be able to accept your olive branch.

I wish, in the spirit of Chanukah, that you choose to do the right thing. Realize the error of your ways and stop trying to destroy peoples careers. You might feel better after you trash soeones album when it isn't really bad, but you'll feel even better if you do the right thing. Write honest reviews and people might start respecting you again. Until then, you can keep expecting us to write these posts and take you to task for every nasty mean spirited "review" you publish!

PS - We did comment on your site at first, you deleted our comments! You can not handle the truth and therefore you moderated or deleted it. We tried on several attempts to discuss this with you head on but you hid behind your comment moderation. We will not discuss this with you any further on YOUR terms, that ship has sailed, now we will discuss this on OUR terms. What we feel and what we think you should do has very clearly been laid out here. It's up to you now to choose what to do with these criticisms.

Aryeh Ateiner of Jewish Music Blog Misrepresents Himself to Newspaper!

HaHaHa!!! Aryeh called himself a "musician" in a recent interview with a newspaper. This reporter must know zilch about blogs because if he did even the most basic google search he'd know Aryeh has no respect anywhere in the Jewish blogs community. Everyone knows he has personal beefs with artists and groups and wouldn't know an honest (or fair) review if it hit him in the blog post. You have to read this article, it's hysterical! Rife with more self riotous quotes from the self music blog king.

“I hoped that people would read [my blog] and be more discriminating in the music they listen to and the bands that they hire, and that bands would read it and ensure that they deliver a quality product,” he said. Isn’t that what Lester Bangs wanted too?

Lester Bangs???? OH MY G-D, someone help me, I just fell off my chair from out of control laughter. HOlY CRAP ON A GIANT STICK!!!! He thinks he's Lester Freakin Bangs??? Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!! Are you mad Aryeh?? Lester was honest, fair, smart, and didn't have any well documented person biases against Groups or Bands that he destroys and hurts with his mean intentioned words.

Lester Bangs? Now I know he's delusional. Aryeh, seriously, tattele, you have serious issues. You want to trash all music so people hire YOU? You think you have even 1/100th of the talent that 90 percent of the real musicians in this industry have? You wish it! You could never make a decent album, and the music that most of us mortals enjoy you trash in hopes of these artists thinking they suck and becoming what? As good as you!!

As specific as it may be, Steiner certainly found his niche. His blog, up and running since 2005, attracts hundreds of viewers per week and was a finalist in the Jewish and Israeli Blog Awards for 2007. He’s developed relationships with the largest Jewish recording labels, which frequently send him press packs to review.

I have to stop to give even more laughter for this paragraph. hundreds per week, is that supposed to be good? A blog like DovBears gets almost 1,000 per day. Real blogs outside the Jewish blog community gets hundreds of thousands per day. He gets what, like 30 hits a day? Thats considered a massive failure in almost every single aspect.

... and his cozy relationship with recording labels? You mean just one, not plural. Just Sameach and no one else and he hasn't posted a review from free cd's from them in months. When he was postings reviews for his free cd's he would kiss their butts and either held back from his usual nastiness or write glowing reviews for free cd's. He sold out and for what? 30 hits a day and a couple of free cd's?

Don't even get me started on that joke of an award program for Israeli Blog Awards. They could never get their act together, every year a new crew, half of them fighting it out on peoples comments sections, even canceling one in the middle and starting it back up a few months later. Come on, that gets you press?

So here you make it obvious that you have a personal bias or beef with Yitzy Spinner.
On your spinner "review" you castigated him and his album for he composed all of his own material, all songs composed by spinner, which you describe as a bad thing.
Yet, this logic seems to be absent from your mentions of Rosenthal's shalsheles which is all of his own compositions and songs as well. (which i think is fine, but you have an inconsostent problem with it).
Furthermore, you took Spinner to task for many other arbitrary things, including criticizing him for recording a song (acheinu) on his solo album which already appeared on another album six13.
Again you have an inconsistent double standard here as Rosenthal's shalsheles 4 contains at least one track (shir hamaalos) which is a song he composed and was recently recorded and released on the Yacov Young albvum, which contains several rosenthal compositions.
Again, I have no problem with this, but since you do, it is necessary to point out that you are biased and have a problem with spinner himself and not his produciton which you seemed to invent problems for, which you dont have for others who do the same thing.

Of course his response is lame and pathetic. He should have just said "you're right, I'm sorry, I dont know what I'm talking about", but then he'd had have to do that after every post.

Memo to Aryeh. Time to hang it up. Everyone knows the truth, we all know you don't didly squat about music. You're just a bitter jealous wanna be. Stop trying to ruin peoples parnasas because you have a grind to axe. It's one thing if you were giving honest reviews, but they are not honest, and you just want to hurt people! Shame on you!!
